Atlantic City police officers went from serving a search warrant to saving a life Tuesday, after a suspect opened fire and wounded two officers.One officer was saved from a shot to the head by his ballistic helmet. BreakingAC.com reports Sgt. Christian Ivanov suffered a life-threatening wound to his upper leg, and was bleeding profusely.With no time to wait, the officers loaded him into the back of a SWAT van and rushed him to the Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.They rendered aid the entire way, packing the wound, which was too high on Ivanov’s leg to make a tourniquet, according to Atlantic City PBA Local 24 President Albert Floriani.
